April Guest Designers

We're so excited to introduce you to our two guest designers for April!!! We have Tricia Traxler, you can visit her blog here, and Julie Glasgow, whose blog you can see here.

Please be sure to check back on each Tuesday and Saturday during April to see Tricia and Julie's beautiful work! Thank you ladies, we're looking forward to sharing with you in the month of April! You can read a little bit about Tricia and Julie below...

Hi! I'm Tricia Traxler and I am *so* excited to be the April guest designer for Sweet 'n Sassy digital stamps!! I live in Wisconsin with my DH of 23 years, our three teens and our dog - a Schnoodle named Kolar. Besides being a wife and mother, I own a small Christian dayplanning company called GraceWorks, so stamping is one of the ways I relax from the busy-ness of life. In my stamping, I work on having a classic, simple style (probably because I don't have much time! LOL!) and I *love* to color! When I'm not stamping you might find me practicing piano, cross-stitching, or preparing the next Bible Study for the GraceWorks blog. I hope you'll join me each Saturday in April on the Sweet n Sassy digi blog, or visit my blog at Simply Stamping. What a joy to be able use our hobby to be a blessing to others! Blessings! Tricia
Hi! My name is Julie Glasgow. I am so excited to be a guest designer for Sweet & Sassy Stamps this month. I have been stamping and scrapbooking for 12 years. I have enjoyed learning and expanding my horizons over the years. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 20 years. We have 2 children, a son who is 18 and daughter who is 12. We also have 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and a Golden Retriever. We love camping and riding ATVs with friends in our spare time. We have incredible places to camp as we live in Southern Colorado in the beautiful town of Durango . God has blessed us in so many ways. I am truly grateful!

Feel free to leave a comment, welcoming Tricia and Julie to the Sweet 'n Sassy digi guest designer team!!

Rainbow Jelly Beans

I was sitting around eating gourmet jelly beans (until I was sick!) and enjoying the rainbow of colors. That's when I had one of those "AHA!" moments. What if instead of eating all these jelly beans and gaining 10 lbs., I instead jarred them up and created a rainbow gift to brighten someone's day! The perfect image, Sweet 'n Sassy's Rainbow Bird digi, came quickly to mind.
I also grabbed a sentiment set from the store called Springtime Blessings. I re-sized two of the sentiments to sit in the clouds. Speaking of clouds, I used the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals Nestabilities to create the look of my image sitting in a cloud of its own. I colored the rainbow and birdie with my copics and added some glaze with a Sakura pen, though that's not very evident in the photo.
I sure hope this brings some colorful, springtime happiness to someone who may be only seeing dreary, cloudy days! For some extra happiness of your own, be sure you head over to the Sweet 'n Sassy shop and check out ALL the new digis. If you're ready for some rainbow colors, there are at least two new digis featuring rainbows!
BTW, those are not gourmet jelly beans in the jar in the photo. There weren't enough of those left. Yikes, you know what that means!

Best Wishes to Sweet n Sassy!

Well, this is my final post as Guest Designer for Sweet n Sassy Stamps. Now that went by fast...true what they say...the older you get the faster time passes (well that's a bummer thought to start the day!!
Kept it simple...
Combined two images. The daffodil is from the March Daffodil set and the sentiment is from the Praying for You set.

Colored and cut out the daffodil and attached to the back of the nestie mat with the sentiment. Using the glaze pen, I glazed the flowers (and used the glitter pen on them - but we all know how well glitter shows....NOT!!) and glazed the sentiment. Enlarged this sentiment to use these nesties and grab the attention of the reader.

Wanted to use this sentiment to say that I will continue to follow you and pray for blessing on your continued success....

Thank you so much Sweet n Sassy for letting me work with your wonderful designs! and thank you so much to your Design Team for being so supportive and encouraging... I am truly now
"hooked on digi's"....LOL

have a blessed day!

A TRUE FRIEND!

HAPPY MONDAY!  It's Nicole here, again!  And this is the last time I will be posting on MONDAY'S!  But don't fret!  I am not going anywhere, thank goodness!  We are just going to be switching up the posting schedule a little bit to give it a bit more variety with ALL of the DIGI DIVAS able to post here at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!  SO, HOW exciting is that!?!?!?!?

I thought I would create a card that is more similar to the cards I used to create when I first began card-making years ago!  If you know me, you know how I am a huge fan of SENTIMENTS!!  And when you think of digi companies, you always think of images of cute little creatures, children and things of the sort that you color in...  Well, we tend to forget that Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has a wonderful line of SENTIMENT digis!!  These are awesome because you can keep them small to coordinate with another image, or you can enlarge them (like above) to make them your focal image!!

I used a sentiment from the 'A TRUE FRIEND' sentiment set on my card and adorned it with a array of paper flowers and lime green pearls!  Pretty simple, but doesn't it showcase the sentiment digi??  I LOVE IT!  So, the next time you think 'digi', don't forget about those sentiments that are also available to go with your digi images!  They are available for ALL occasions in tons of different fonts, too!  SHOP HERE to see more!

BLESSINGS ON YOUR DAY!!

For the man I love....

My husband and I joke every year around Father's Day that he needs a Robot. A robot that could do all those chores and odd jobs which would free up his time to do what he wants to do which is work on his fine scale models. Until then, he always jokingly tells me that he is my robot, obeying my ever wish. (Don't let him fool you, lol)

I couldn't resist creating this card which he will get on Father's Day:

Not only is this digital stamp "Robot" totally adorable, masculine yet cute, it was drawn by Korin's son, Aston! I am in awe of everyone that can draw but I am really, really in awe when the artist is still in grade school!

I really enjoyed 'playing' with this "Robot" and immediately knew that I wanted to use this metal-looking designer paper that I've had in my stash with this digital stamp. I also played with all the different gray colored copics. The neutrals, the toner gray and the warm grays. I tend to always use cool grays, and was determined to have fun and try them all. Which I did as you can tell :-).

Both of my sentiments are from "Sentiments for Him" which is a great digital sentiment stamp set. I printed the sentiments on regular weight paper. Using a circle punch I punched each sentiment out and then glued it on top of a chipboard circle. The natural color of the chipboard matched the grays in the Robot so I left them 'au naturale'. Once the glue had dried, I used a nail file to sand along the edges! Works like a charm, except I got a little carried away on one of the circles.

I'm really happy with this card! Actually because of the inside joke my husband and I share, this card makes me chuckle. I can't wait to see his face when he gets it. I had so much fun coloring this adorable Robot, that I have several more waiting for me to color. I am thinking a pink Robot for Gracie and a purple Robot for Emma! And who am I to argue with a two year and a six year old!

Make sure to stop by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps because there are so many new digital stamps! I'm talking cute, furry things, birds and oh, are there any bakers? Better hurry and check ALL the awesome digital stamps out. You're going to want them all! :-).

Have a wonderful day!

An Easter Treat

Good morning Sweet 'n Sassy Digi stampers. My post today is mixed with a little sadness. This will be my last post for the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Stamps Blog. While I have enjoyed my time with this amazing group of ladies, I have some future endeavors in the works and therefore, reached the difficult decision to step down. I have appreciated the friendships made while serving on this team...these ladies are so supportive and encouraging. I still plan to stop by and see what they are up to...and to see what new images Korin is posting in her store! I would just like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to Korin for having me as part of this team, to Sandy who put up with my unending questions (lol) and to the rest of the ladies who have blessed me beyond anything I ever expected.

Ok...let me show you what I made for my final project. When I first started with Sweet 'n Sassy back in December, I used a Cocoa image for my first post (you can see that post here). I immediately fell in love with this cute little mouse, and Korin has been regularly coming up with new images featuring him. I felt it appropriate that my final post would also feature Cocoa. I printed this adorable Egg-Cited Cocoa on Neenah cardstock and coloured it with my Copic markers. I decided to cover one of these great wooden baskets I picked up from Michaels, and use it to hold some Easter treats. Now brace yourselves...I used a sticker for the sentiment! GASP!! lol...Come on, fess up! I know there are a bunch of you out there who have gone sticker crazy in past years. When I first started scrapbooking...well actually, I pretty much "collected" scrapbooking stuff, and never really got around to using it...I bought tons of stickers. Where are they now?? In a big accordion file in my basement. So I though perhaps I should actually try to use some now and then. This little "Happy Easter" banner seemed to suit my project just perfectly. This project actually came together very quickly (maybe partially due to the sticker??!! lol), so you could make up a bunch of these for the kiddies, or even as place-setting favours for Easter dinner. Oh, your table would look adorable!

Remember, every Thursday is Digi Day over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Group on SNR. Today, your hostess is Leah. Hop on over there to get the details of the challenge, prizes and to participate in the friendly conversation. Make sure to visit the Sweet 'n Sassy store to pick up some new images too!

Again, thank-you to the entire team at Sweet 'n Sassy for the opportunity to work alongside you all.

God Bless!

Melanie

Poppin By With a Treat

Don't ya just love the new look on the blog? Korin's been creatively busy, busy this week. New look for the blog and some oh, so cute new digis in the shop. When I saw the new Poppin By set at Sweet n Sassy, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. This little fellow just had to go on a popcorn box, of course. I created this box with my Cricut.
Doesn't this make an adorable treat to give someone? I love the little popcorn man all drippin with butter. Well, as luck would have it, while I was coloring him in with my copics, I got a little hungry. So, guess what happened with the first bag of popcorn I made? Yep, devoured it before the ink on the stamp was even dry! I had to make a second bag before I could finish up my project. (Nope, didn't eat any of that one. My tummy was kinda hurting by then!)
This project took just a few minutes to make because the image was so super easy to color in and the Cricut did all the work for me on the box. If I hadn't taken time out for a snack, I literally could have been finished in about 10-15 minutes! Can't ask for more than that when you need a quick, little something to give. Throw in a movie and this becomes a full-fledged gift package!
Lots of new stuff coming out of the SNS shop this week. Be sure to stop by and check out all the cuteness. Bring popcorn because there is a slideshow to watch on the home page featuring all the new stuff!

One of a Kind !!

Wow this month is flying by...can't believe I only have one more Tuesday left in March!

This past week, I received several emails that basically said you didnt try digi's because they seemed complicated. So thought I would do one this week that required no resizing, flipping, merging, combining images, etc etc etc...all those terms that have you intimidated by digi images. I know what you mean....I used to feel the exact same way!

This image was copied into a Word document with the sentiment copied right below the image - that was it! I saved it in Word so I can use it again and again...love this adorable image!

Image is called One of a Kind . I colored it with Copics and added clear glaze to the middle red bird! (his little tuff of hair is also red, but with it glazed - it doesn't show in pic)...made my flowers using scrap cardstock from the card (did the background mat for image using the pink/green colors also).

This is a great "go to" image for a simple, quick n easy card!

If you need help in copying your image into Word - please let me know...will be glad to help you!

Have a wonderful day!

A Springtime Wedding

Happy Spring
Today is the first day of spring and spring and summer bring a lot of weddings and Sweet 'n Sassy has a beautiful line of Wedding digis. My card uses the Wedding Cake, we also have a Bouquet and Wedding Bells you could use on your card. There are plenty of floral stamps that would make beautiful cards as well. I colored the image with Copic markers and used stickles and bridal embossing tinsel on the cake. The flower is handmade with a crochet flower by my fellow DT member/friend Leah. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Saturday

Peaceful Rejoicing

The challenge yesterday for Digi Day at the Sweet 'n Sassy group on SNR was to create an Easter themed card or project, and the cards everyone shared so far are absolutely gorgeous.

Continuing on the Easter theme, I chose Christ Arose for my card today. I had this beautiful digi stamp all printed out, ready to be colored ever since Korin released it. I wish I could do this beautiful image justice. There are some images that provide peace, tranquility, hope and this image does just that.

I printed Christ Arose on Neenah Solar White card stock then colored it with copics. I pulled out my Martha Stewart border & corner punch set which took me a minute to figure out, lo. I also used my Fleur De Lis shapeabilities die cut in half as an added accent. I added the rhinestones as an after thought which I am still not too sure about.

If you haven't checked out the Sweet 'n Sassy store, you've got to head over there and check out the latest digital stamps that Korin has been releasing. There is something for everyone :-).

Don't forget to play along with this week's Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Day challenge at SNR.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Spring Showers

How are you all enjoying the weather lately? We have had some gorgeous sunny days here in Southwestern Ontario. I've even been able to open my windows and let the fresh air in! Now, we all know that along with spring comes rain. I honestly don't mind the rain...I quite like it! However, I DO NOT like the resulting mud! You see, we have white carpets and a dog. We did not put the white carpets in...they were newly installed when we moved in two years ago. I love the look of them when they are clean, but boy are they hard to keep that way! Poor Kalev...we have to catch him on his way into the house and scrub his feet each time he comes in.

When I saw this cute "Rainy Day Teddy" image available at Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Stamps, I knew I needed it!! lol I just love this cute bear in her galoshes! I adore watching kids splash around in the puddles...they're always filled with such joy. I made the sentiment myself on the computer. I think we all need to remember to slow down and enjoy the little things in life...like splashing in the puddles!

I printed "Rainy Day Teddy" off on Neenah cardstock and coloured her up with my Copic markers. The puddle and raindrops were given a coat of Stickles. I paired the image with some fun paper from Bella Press.

I hope you've been checking in with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps frequently as Korin is adding new images regularly! Oh, there are so many to choose from...but thankfully, her prices are so reasonable that you will be able to purchase several! I know she has been adding some fantastic Easter images, so make sure you stop by and pick some up!

Today is also Digi Day at the Sweet 'n Sassy group on SNR. Your hostess today is your's truly! If you head over to the SNR group, you will find a link to our challenge for the day. The challenge will be up and running by 10:00 am EST, with a sample project to get your mojo going! I know some of the other DT members also have projects to share. So, make sure to drop in and say hi!
Have a blessed day friends!

Cookies and Cocoa

I had a couple of coworkers who had birthdays last week, and cookies make a great little birthday treat when a whole cake is just a little too much. Now, I have to admit that I didn't make these cookies from scratch. I used one of those Nestle Tollhouse cookie tubs (pre-mixed cookie dough), but I did make sure I gave them a taste test before giving any as gifts (wink).

I found instructions for making these criss-cross boxes thinking they would be perfect for holding and displaying the cookies. Since I needed two, I decided to coordinate the packaging. This way I can utilize all the scraps. I made tags and paper flowers from the scraps, too.

And, yes, Cocoa had to make an appearance at this birthday celebration!

Actually, I grabbed two sets from Sweet N Sassy for these projects. I appropriately used Cookies for Cocoa for my main image. For the sentiments, I used Sweet Birthday Wishes. A little cellophane and some ribbons and these were ready to make someone's birthday especially sweet!

Oops! So sorry if you were looking for green or St. Patrick's Day inspiration. My Irish must be in remission right now!

Well, spring has sprung around here and I still have some days left in my spring break. I'm definitely getting out for a walk to enjoy the wildflowers and sunshine. I know many of you have not seen much of warm, sunny days lately, but I truly hope your turn is coming soon! In the meantime, grab a sweet image that makes you smile and have some fun coloring and creating!

Christ Arose!

This set has one of the most beautiful crosses! Just such a wonderful image and a real pleasure to color. I didn't want to add a lot of embellishments to this one, it's beauty really stands alone.

Added clear glitter to some of the flowers, but as usual with glitter - doesn't photograph well. The flower at the side (center is one of the sentiments in this set) almost went on this card - but once I started coloring, this image took on a life of its own (:  and that little flower just didnt fit this card. Have several images printed and in the process of coloring - will use it on one of them. This set is my choice for my Easter cards this year!
I just love it !!! Cannot believe Easter is right around the corner....

have a blessed day, here's hoping the rain stops today!

AH, Wedding Cake!

Happy MONDAY Again!  This weekend was fun for me and my family!  My parents paid us a visit from Tennessee!  We didn't do too much, really, but some of the best times are had just by sitting around, sharing and visiting!

I colored this really pretty digi by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called WEDDING CAKE, but didn't have a card layout in mind until I saw this past sketch by Unscripted Sketches (#44 Here)! PERFECT!  Now if I could just find someone getting married to give this to!!!!! HA!  Really, this image (having been colored in reds) could be for an anniversary or birthday, too!  I think I am covered now for my parents anniversary this summer!

Come back tomorrow for another card inspired by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

Enjoy your Monday!

These are the Copics I used in creating this card!

Spring Wedding Card ...

I can't believe the balmy weather we've been having in upstate New York! With the birds chirping and the snow melted, you'd think Spring was already here! I know I can't wait to see the crocuses and daffodils poking their heads out to bask in God's bright sunshiny rays!

With Spring in mind, can you imagine a prettier wedding day than to be surrounded by new growth and the beautiful blossoms of life? A wedding symbolizes a new beginning in God's Grace for two people in love, and my card hopefully reflects that sentiment.

I printed "Wedding Bells" on Whisper White cardstock, then cut it out with a Circle Nestabilities. I sponged Memento Summer Sky ink around the edges, then colored the image with Copic Markers. I adhered my circle to a glittery scalloped circle. then mounted it to another circle I had punched with the Deco Fan punch by Martha Stewart. Next, came my glittery purple circle, which was mounted to a larger glittery scalloped circle. I added self-adhesive pearls and a lavender tulle bow to the circles. I wrapped more tulle around my sparkly cardstock panel with the Deco Fan punched in the corners. I then mounted my decorated circle to the center. This was all glued to a soft lavender card measuring 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.

Please hop over to the Sweet 'n Sassy store to see all the wonderful images that are perfect for weddings, birthdays, and all occasions! Make sure you take a look at the beautiful floral images, just in time for Spring, Easter and Mother's Day!

May God Shine on you today and everyday!

Keep Truckin'

Happy Friday everyone!

I don't know about you but I never seem to have enough cards for boys. When Korin released "Keep Truckin'", I had to have this all around great digi stamp. Yes, at first glance this digi stamp screams "boys" but I know a couple of girls that love trucks. I'm thinking a pink truck would be perfect for a girl card.

For today, however, I created this card with boys in mind. I've also been on a bold, bright color kick lately. Perfect combination for a boy card :-). After I colored the truck with my Copics, I grabbed my scrap basket and pulled out some scraps. Punched out several squares with my punch, layered onto larger card stock squares then adhered four of these onto the card base which already had different colored panels attached to it. Last I added the image panel.

I love how the box part of the truck is large enough to add any of the sentiments that come with this set. Of course I thought of this after I had the truck all completed. Instead of printing the sentiment inside of the box part of the truck, I printed it separately and used my ticket punch. Sponged some ink across the punched out sentiment to blend it in and popped it inside the box with a pop-up glue dot.

Another awesome digi stamp that was so much fun to play with. If you haven't stopped by the store lately, you really need to check it out. And be sure to share your creations with us!

It's a Birdie Delivery

Today is our SNR Digi Day and our challenge is For the Birds :). I hope you'll join us and play along for a chance at an adorable new freebie plus everyone who plays by Monday at Midnight EST gets a 25% discount on their next digi order!! The challenge is posted here and here is my card....

This cute little bird has been waiting for me to finish her up and create a card with her and I am happy to say that I finally did :-). This adorable digi stamp "Birdie Delivery" illustrated by Leah Cornelius is available at the Sweet 'n Sassy store for just 99¢. Have I mentioned how cute and adorable this digi stamp is?

For my card design, I once again chose a 'quick and simple' approach.... actually I should call it 'clean and simple'. I love clean lines and lots of white space... minimalistic I guess one could call it (and that is so funny since my craft room is anything but).

After printing "Birdie Delivery" out onto Neenah Solar White super smooth card stock, I colored her using my Copics. I then tried to come back to add some strokes to resemble feathers but didn't do too good of a job. My hands and fingers have been acting up which causes me to go outside the lines. Here's a little trick which you may already know about. I will take a light to mid color gray marker, in this case I used Copic C1, to outline the entire image. By doing this, I 'push' any stray marks of color back inside the lines. And the light gray outline also helps to add some definition and ground the colored image.

I also made my card size 5 x 5 since I have some square envelopes I keep forgetting about. That's the great thing about digital stamps....being able to resize them to the size you want.

Be sure to check out the store for the latest digi stamp releases and if you have not signed up for the newsletter, sign up today!

A Piece of Cake

Our oldest son is getting married next year. I think his fiancee' has been planning the wedding since she was ten, lol! In any case, she is very organized and seems to know exactly what she wants. Good thing because I have zero interest in weddings beyond the vows. But, all the wedding talk did peak my interest in the beautiful wedding images at Sweet n Sassy. The wedding cake, in particular, fascinated me, probably because I wish I could decorate cakes. Since I can't (and have no time to master a new hobby), I grabbed the stamp and decorated it with my copics!
I bought an inexpensive photo album at the dollar store and replaced the front cover with this one I created using SNS Wedding Cake. The bride can then insert pictures of the wedding venue, cake samples, dresses, or decorations that she wants to refer to while making her plans. Or the photo album could be used just for notes, clippings, or receipts she doesn't want to lose.
By the way, I used the sketch at The Sweet Stop for my cover. And I couldn't resist making another tissue paper flower to hold my "love" sentiment. I'm so addicted to those flowers! I added stickles to the flowers and airbrushed the pearls. I did not get the pearls as "scarlet" as I wanted but they do look deeper IRL.
Let wedding mania begin! I'm ready...I think!

I "WOOF" You!

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend?  Well, I hope your weekend was half as exciting as mine!  I had a wonderful weekend with a surprise 24- hour visit from my son in college!!  He'll be back in 6 days for Spring Break, but it was still nice to have him home!  This one is for him!  After about age 10 it seems that boys don't like to say "I LOVE YOU" anymore!  So, here ya go, Josh, "I WOOF YOU!"!!

This digi and sentiment are from the PUPPY LOVE SET available in the store HERE for a mere $4.00!!  An incredible deal considering you can resize and reuse these images to your heart's content and it leaves room on your shelves for more paper and embellishments! HEE HEE!

For supplies used on my card see my blog GottaHavePaper HERE!

Enjoy your week!

Thank You Card Set

Happy Saturday to you! Leah here today sharing with you a thank card gift set I put together for a friend using some newly released images in the birth flower line. I stuck with the same layout for each card and just colored each image differently with my Copics. The paper is from K&Co. and the border punch is MS lace. Be sure to hop on over to the store and see what's new, and pick up an image or two while you're at it;) Have a beautiful day!

Meet Nathaniel Gnome

Happy Friday everyone!

With all the fabulous digital stamps at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, I always have such a hard time deciding which digi I should play with. After a great 'cyber' discussion among the design team, discussing gnomes and the memories they conjure up, I decided to create a card with Korin's Nathaniel Gnome.

Nathaniel was suggested by Chris Sather for the Digi Designer Contest. Isn't that awesome to see a stamp that you thought of?

He's colored with Copics and for his beard I became daring using Liquid Applique. It's my first time using this medium and I am not quite sure if I like it. His beard is too smooth. I'll just have to try it again, right?

Now when I think of gnomes, I think forest, nature, woodsy type colors which is why I chose earth tones for my card stock and panels. I added the red card stock pieces to tie the color of his jacket and hat in with the card. Having said all that, Nathaniel is printed onto Neenah Solar White super smooth card stock which I generally would not have paired with earth tone colors. This time I thought the white gave it a nice 'pop'. I love white space :-).

The sentiment is from Gnome Sentiments. These are just two of several great digital stamps which were released this week at the shop. And if you don't see a digi stamp that you are looking for or think of one that would make a great digital stamp, enter your suggestion in the Digi Designer Contest. Hurry though, this contest ends March 19th! Wouldn't it be so exciting to see your name at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps? I think so :-)

Thank you guys so much and have a wonderful Friday!

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday!! I hope you all have been having a fantastic week. It's been a busy one here! For my Sweet 'n Sassy project this week, I chose to work with "A Donut for Cocoa". Cocoa's been peeking out from behind all sorts of things over at the Sweet 'n Sassy store! Now, normally I would not be happy to find a mouse in my donut! lol But, with an image this cute I'll make an exception!

I printed Cocoa off on Neenah cardstock and coloured him with Copic markers. The icing was coated with Glossy Accents and the sprinkles were given some shimmer with Stickles. I cut out the image with my Circle Nesties and matted it with the Scalloped Circles. Before taking it out of the die, I sponged some Summer Sky Memento Ink around the image. (the sentiment is my own)

Make sure to take some time to hop on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy store to pick up some Digital stamps. Korin has been adding a ton of new images, so make sure to be checking the store frequently.

Oh, and as with every Thursday, it's Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Day over on our SNR group! I hope you find time to visit with us over there and participate in the chatting and the challenge!

Have a great day!

Blessings,

Melanie

Exciting news!

We've expanded our Digi Diva DT by one :). Lisa Jurecek was one of our guest designers last month and we enjoyed her work so much we asked her to stay on for another 3 months!

We know you loved the fabulous ideas she shared and I'm sure she will continue to wow us. Be sure to stop by her blog regularly to see what she's been up to!

Do you have a great idea for a digi stamp?

Sweet'n Sassy want to hear your ideas so we are having a CONTEST!! If we use your idea for a digi, you'll receive the digi you helped design for FREE plus, we will give you $20 to spend in the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps store - see more details HERE. The closing date for entries is Friday 19th March, so don't delay!

For my post today I've made this sweet little birthday card - the image is called One of a Kind, don't ya love the 'surprised' expression on the birdie in the centre!  Coloured wtih copic markers and no stickles in sight (I know! Gasp!) but I managed to squeeze some bling in instead! (phew!)

Don't forget that every Thursday there's a fun challenge to play with over at Sweet'n Sassy's page on SNR, (click on the Digi Day Challenge #8) - You don't have to use Sweet'n Sassy images to join in, but if you have them use them!

Hope you're having a great Wednesday - can you believe that according to the calendar it's now Spring ..... now will someone please tell the weather!

Let it Rain

I'm so very happy to be here Guest Designing for you this month (-:
Love your adorable images and really partial to the scripture sets!! I fell in love with this one "Let It Rain" for three reasons: the sweet little girl with the umbrella, the scripture verse and the short stanza of the hymn "There shall be showers of blessing" (which we sing so often in our church and I fully trust and believe)....saw this one and new instantly it would be the first set I wanted to work with...so here we go!

for this card, I softly colored the little girl and umbrella with prismacolor pencils and OMS. I was tickled how the CB folder matched the raindrops!! and really like purple/green color combo

This one is colored with Copics and I paper pieced her umbrella! was in the mood for blue (thinking about blue skies that I would love to soon see) ...isn't she enjoying the soft Spring rain....I am so ready for that too!!! anything but snow!!! LOL

Thoroughly love this set! Could spend my whole time this month creating cards with it!!!...but I won't ***wink....hope you liked these!
Have a blessed day
and thank you so much for the warm welcome....

7 Layer Cocoa!

Happy Monday!!!!!!!!  It's Nicole here!  Just having celebrated my 39th birthday over the weekend, I thought it would be appropriate to post a birthday card!  And there is no one I would rather celebrate with than our Cocoa!!  Well, maybe my hubby and kids, but Cocoa is just too cute, you know!!

Here's CUPCAKE COCOA, along side a sentiment found in the SWEET BIRTHDAY WISHES set!  If you haven't picked up a Cocoa image yet, you should!  He's just entirely too fun to color and gives such sweetness to everything you make!  Maybe that is why he's called COCOA! HA!

I used a simpler layout in this card.  I am always layering, layering and layering some more, so I challenged myself with layers under the amount of five!  I almost managed if you start from the pop-dotted flower.  That would make seven!  Hee Hee!  Below, you can hopefully see how I outlined the word 'sweet' in pink marker... gives it a nice touch I think!

I have another Cocoa image coming up on Thursday for our SNR challenge!  Be sure to pop in our forum group HERE and see all of the exciting things that are happening!!

Enjoy your MONDAY!!
