New Mercies

Sorry for the late post today.....time got away from me......

For my card, I used one of our older stamp sets, Everyday Miracles (which also happens to come in digi form), coupled with a new set, New Creature, being released February 1st. I just love butterflies.....they are one of God's most interesting and beautiful creatures. A big, fat, and sometimes ugly caterpillar turning into something so magnificent is such a beautiful picture of what happens to a person when they come to Christ. I can't wait to get to Heaven and see all the "butterflies" there :)! What a glorious and beautiful place it will be :)!!

The paper I used for this card is called Gossamer by Memory Box. I had been sort of hoarding it for a while, but finally decided to break it out so the rest of you could enjoy it's splendor :).

Have a blessed day!

Birds & Roses

The weather has been unseasonably warm here the last couple of days so I have a lovely spring card to share with you today :). This image was illustrated by a sweet Mennonite lady, Rachel Zimmerman, who has an amazing knack for capturing the beauty of God's creation. I am so thrilled to have been given the opportunity to share her talent with the stamping world :).

You can find this lovely image in a new stamp set called Birds & Roses which has just been released at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. It also includes many encouraging sentiments to go with this beautiful image.

Can't you just hear these beautiful blue birds singing praises to God? :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Many blessings to you,
~Korin

Feel Better Paulie

So many people I know are sick right now, so I decided to break out this sweet digi to make a card for someone feeling under the weather.

The image is called Feel Better Paulie and the sentiment is from a new set being released January 1st. The striped DP is from Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey.

I know the card is a tad girlie (ok, maybe a lot girlie) for a "boy" bear but, I couldn't help myself :). Poor Paulie.....he sure looks like he could use a pick-me-up, doesn't he ;)?

Happy Monday!

You're my cup of cocoa!

You are, really! In fact, all of our customers and readers are my cup of cocoa :).

Are you ready for the holidays? Has the baking and shopping begun? I haven't quite gotten into the baking full swing, but I have been shopping :)....online shopping, that is :). I LOVE shopping from the comfort of my home with a nice cup of coffee OR cocoa in hand and the Christmas music on shuffle :). Amazon loves me and probably knows me on a first name basis ;).

For my Cup of Cocoa card I used some of the yummy new Merry Christmas Echo Park papers we are carrying in sampler packs. I have to tell you, this paper is top notch! If you haven't grabbed some yet, I encourage you to head over to our website to grab some quick. Our quantities are selling fast!

Cocoa and I hope you have a fabulous weekend! We are looking forward to a day of stamping with some friends tomorrow. It's sure to be a great time! I'll be creating some fun samples using our NEW December digis.......yes, more Cocoa :)! Sneak peeks begin next week!

Blessings,

For My Sweet Pumpkin

I don't know about you but I think candy corn is such a fun fall treat, so I decided to make a quick fall gift using an empty Prima flower jar filled with candy corn. I stamped one of the pumpkins from our adorable fall stamp set, Sweet Pumpkin, to add a bit more sweetness to the jar. The jack-o-lanterns in this set are full of smiles....when you see them, you can't help but smile, too!

Here's a close up of the lid which reads "For my sweet pumpkin". Too cute!

The great thing about quick projects like this is you can use up some of those scraps you've had lying around for a while. How adorable would it be to pair this gift up with a small matching gift card :)? Love it!

Wishing you a fabulous Fall day full of sweet treats :)!

Autumn is here!

I am so happy for the cooler weather, the delicious foods, and the gorgeous colors that autumn brings. I am very blessed to live in a state where we experience all 4 seasons which I think helps me to appreciate them even more :). God in his infinite wisdom knew exactly how to bring about change at the right time and place. I am in constant awe of his amazing creation!

I just had to share a card today to celebrate this beautiful season :). I used one of our newer digital stamps, Pumpkin Patch, with a sentiment from our clear set Prayerful Thoughts.

Enjoy your day and may it be blessed beyond measure!

The Honest Truth

Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow and that is just the case with my card today....well, at least the sentiment on the card, anyway.

It comes from a new set being released in a couple of weeks called Prayerful Thoughts. The statement may be hard to swallow, but it certainly it an encouragement to know that God will always take care of us :).

I went with a monochromatic look for this card and chose a color that I would typically not use but I think it turned out quite nicely. I dug out one of our older sets, Floral Flourishes--which happens to be one sale right now :), to create the background on the two panels. I stamped the flourishes using Versamark and then chalked over them to add the soft color. I also chalked around the Nestie die to accent the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog today!

May your day be blessed!

Happy JULY!

I simply cannot believe it's July 1st already! Where has this year gone?? We are half way through already and I really would just like it to slow down a bit, wouldn't you?! LOL!

The start of the new month means new guest designers and we have TWO fabulous ladies lined up to share with you this month. Kim introduced them below, so be sure to scroll down to meet them!

Until then, I have a fun card to share with you featuring our NEWEST Cocoa image called Patriotic Cocoa. At this time, he is only available as a digi, but who knows, maybe next year we'll see him in clear form ;).

And just in case you hadn't heard....we released two more amazing clear sets Tuesday night and you just have to check them out: Tea Time Cocoa & August Gladiola

They are both available now but in limited quantities, so grab yours now. If you miss out this time, they won't be back in stock until later this month.

On another note....I don't know what the weather has been like in your neck of the woods, but here in PA the last couple of days it has been BEEEEEAUTIFUL :)!! And let me tell you, it was about time. It was so hot and humid most of June. Now that it's July, I am wondering if the months got themselves confused with each other ;). It is supposed to warm up again by the weekend, but I am enjoying every minute while it's nice like this. The windows are open and it's fabulous :).

Hugs and blessings for a beautiful day :),

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Forget-me-nots for Mother's Day

Hello friends!

Today is Digi Day yet again in our PCP and SNR groups. We have another fun challenge planned for you as well as some fabulous freebies, so head on over to join the fun!

My card for today's challenge (can you guess what it might be?) features one of our older digis (which happened to be a popular clear stamp set, too) Forget-Me-Not. I thought it would be nice to bring it out again for Mother's Day---flowers are the perfect Mom image, don't you think? :)

I paired it up with some pretty new glittered papers from My Mind's Eye called Deena's Penny Lane. The pretty purple flower embellishments are from the bridal section at Michaels. They were white but I colored them with my Copics, added some Liquid Pearls to the centers (also white) and then colored the centers yellow with a Copic marker as well (once they were dry). The sentiment was stamped (from one of our retired sets called Special Women).

We made this card for one of my classes this week and ladies really liked it. I hope you do, too!

See you over at PCP and SNR!

Have a blessed day!
