Challenge with Poppies!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!  My apologies for being repetitive and sharing another POPPIES card, but I just had to share this card that I made for this week's CHALLENGE!  This week's challenge is 'using Lace'!  Well, since I didn't have any real lace to use I used a Martha Stewart punch!  Be sure to check out this week's challenge at PaperCraftPlanet {HERE} and/or Scrapbook News and Review {HERE}; there is a great prize to be earned and many friends to be made!

Be sure to enter into this week's challenge!

Poppies

Happy Thursday!!!

Today I used a NEW Digi Stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy called Poppies. I'm addicted to making cards with flowers so as soon as I saw this was going to be released today I jumped on it. They were colored with Copic Markers.
Ok, here is the real reason I love Digi's. After I printed two sets of the size I wanted, I then made them a little smaller and flipped the image. This is why you see some smaller ones in with the original.

Today is also Digi Day over at SNR & PCP so if you want to pick up on a FREE digi, go one over and play along before Midnight est tonight. The theme for the challenge is, Let's Get Lacey!

Since this could mean many different things, I actually combined a MS lace border punch along with some lace ribbon.

Warm Blessings!
Nancy

Super Card for a Super Dad

Hi Everyone!

Korin has been creating more awesome digis and when she previewed "Super Dad" to the DT, I couldn't wait to play with him. I look at him and can't help but giggle and think "Ta-Ta-Ta-Da..... Super Dad to the rescue", lol!

After coloring him with Copics, I used my Octagon Nesties to cut him out. On a whim I decided to create a flap fold card and decided not to use any designer papers, just card stock. I used the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment from the "Super Dad" set on the inside and also used the "Super Dad Symbol". Here's a look at the inside of my card:

Be sure to swing by the Sweet 'n Sassy store to check out the latest digis released this week. You'll love them! And don't forget to join us tomorrow for Digi Day in our SNR and PCP groups!

Many blessings!

Just Poppin' By!

To say HELLO! This is Tanis and I'm going to be popping by here every Tuesday in May to share a quick card with my favourite Sweet and Sassy stamps!

When I first saw the Poppin' By set, my thoughts went straight to creating a QUICK card. Something easy that could be whipped up before you head to visit a friend who's suddenly wound up sick in bed or in the hospital. Or just for a spontaneous visit with someone who needs a pick me up.

So here's my super quick card. Minimal supplies, a happy palette and a fun image....what more do you need?

Thanks for coming by to look and I hope you have a great day!

Special Lady

Good morning, and welcome to the Sweet -n Sassy Stamps Digi Blog.  I hope this day is shaping up to be a beautiful day for you.  I have a card to share with you today in honor of a very special holiday coming up this weekend, which of course is Mother's Day.  While I do believe that we should do our best to honor the special women in our lives each and every day, I always enjoy having one specific day to really go all out and make many of the women who mean so much to me feel special.
This card was created with the Special Lady digital set, and I knew immediately it was perfect for my mom.  She loves all things victorian, old hats, gloves, tea parties, hat boxes, and the list goes on.  Pretty much everything you see here is something my mom loves.   Here's wishing all you special ladies out there a lovely Mother's Day filled with people you love, and if you're like me, LOTS of happy stamping!!

Blessings,
Lorie

We love it when you let us know you are using our digis! Be sure to post a link to your card(s) by posting a link below. We are always looking for cards or projects to use on our Sunday Customer Spotlight posts :)!

May Guest Designers

Another month has flown by and it's time to say good-bye to our April guest designers, Julie Glasgow and Tricia Traxler. Julie and Tricia, thank you so much for gracing the Sweet 'n Sassy blog with your beautiful work during the past month! We've enjoyed getting to know you!! (I do have a little secret though...Tricia has agreed to stay on the SNSS team as one of our permanent design team members!! Yeah, welcome Tricia!!

And now for our May guests...I couldn't be more pleased to announce that we have Erika Martin and Tanis Giesbrecht joining our team this month as our guest designers! I've known both of these talented ladies for quite some time and I'm sure that you'll love seeing their work. (Just a reminder that our guest designers post on every Tuesday and Saturday.( And now...allow me to tell you a little bit more about Erika and Tanis...
Erika Martin is a play-at-home mom, meaning, she views her artistic work as pure play and enjoyment. She's been scrapbooking for 13 years, stamping for eight years, and creating altered books for six. She teaches online courses, as well as in-home workshops and classes. She also travels around the east coast, where she teaches art classes of all kinds. She loves to mix words with art and photographs and is always looking for ways to incorporate her stamping into her other art forms. Erika designs for Gina K Designs, Paper Craft Planet, and writes for Craft Critique. You can see Erika’s lovely work on her blog, Stampin’ Mama.

Tanis lives in a small town near Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. She's been married for almost 19 years to her best friend and they have four amazing kids ages 13, 11, 9 and 5. Tanis is currently a stay at home mom but is preparing herself to go back to teaching in the Fall. Tanis designs for SRM Stickers and the Caardvarks and SALT challenge blogs. She also designs stamps for Unity Stamp Company. You can find her work published in Paper Crafts and CARDS magazines and find her beautiful work on her blog, Paper Canvas.

Please join me in welcoming both of these ladies to the team and check back often to see their work!
