Praying for you!

Can I just say that I am VERY SAD that this is my last post as a guest designer here with Sweet N Sassy Stamps! :( I love the images and all the nice fun people over here! Thank you so much for having me, it was an honor!

Now onto my card!

I used the stamp set Praying for You, I love the font that this digi set uses! I simply printed the sentiment on a piece of vanilla cardstock and then used my biggest nesties label 9 to cut it out. The designer paper below from the marrakech paper pack by Basic Grey and thebutton is also from Basic Grey. To finish it off I simply added a large prima and some black gingham ribbon...can you say YUMMY!
I love the simplicity of this image and how the sentiment can stand alone without an image.
Supplies:
Stamps: Praying for you digi image
Ink: none
Paper: kiwi kiss, vanilla, tangerine tango, marrakech DP by Basic Grey
Accessories: fancy scallop punch, black gingham ribbon, nesties label 9, prima flower, basic grey buttons
Thank you sooo much for stopping by!
Thanks again for having me!
Hugs and happy stampin'

The Old Rugged Cross

I am so blessed to be joining the Sweet 'n Sassy digi team for the month of April. What a delight it is to work with these images! As tomorrow is Easter, I couldn't think of a more appropriate stamp to work with than "The Old Rugged Cross". Do you remember the song... "Oh the old rugged cross, so despised by the world, holds a wondrous attraction for me... For twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died, to pardon and sanctify me." I am so thankful for His death and resurrection, and for the eternal life He offers to those who trust in Him!

I colored the cross with Copics and then cut out both the cross and the sentiment (from the digi-set,"Praying for You"), with a Labels 8 die. I sponged around the edges very lightly with Memento Desert Sand ink before I removed it from the frame. The designer paper is from TAC, and it's gorgeous, but I felt like it was missing something, so I did a little stitching - both with and without thread! - to give it some dimension. I finished it off with a few pearls and dewdrops, but I stayed away from a bow, because I didn't want to detract from the main image.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I pray you'll have a glorious day tomorrow worshiping our risen Saviour!! See you next Saturday!

Best Wishes to Sweet n Sassy!

Well, this is my final post as Guest Designer for Sweet n Sassy Stamps. Now that went by fast...true what they say...the older you get the faster time passes (well that's a bummer thought to start the day!!
Kept it simple...
Combined two images. The daffodil is from the March Daffodil set and the sentiment is from the Praying for You set.

Colored and cut out the daffodil and attached to the back of the nestie mat with the sentiment. Using the glaze pen, I glazed the flowers (and used the glitter pen on them - but we all know how well glitter shows....NOT!!) and glazed the sentiment. Enlarged this sentiment to use these nesties and grab the attention of the reader.

Wanted to use this sentiment to say that I will continue to follow you and pray for blessing on your continued success....

Thank you so much Sweet n Sassy for letting me work with your wonderful designs! and thank you so much to your Design Team for being so supportive and encouraging... I am truly now
"hooked on digi's"....LOL

have a blessed day!
