March Guest Designer

We are so excited to introduce you to our March Guest Designer, Linda Payne!  She's super talented and you are going to love what she makes!  She will be posting for us every Tuesday, so be sure to keep your eyes open for her posts!  You can visit her blog -------> HERE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been a crafter for over 30 years. About 8 years ago I was introduced to stamping and gradually saw all my crafting take a backseat to cardmaking. It is now my only craft and I completely love it. I love to color and create and love the instant gratification when a card is done, not to mention how good it feels to give a handmade card!
I am fairly new to using digi's but am thoroughly enjoying them! I can see it is another medium to which I am fast becoming addicted ...at least this addiction won't take up more space in my already over loaded craft room!! I'm not sure if I have a particular style...and always enjoy learning new ways to create! Hope you enjoy what I bring to Sweet n Sassy Stamps this month!. Their line of images are amazing...guess I better invest in a flash drive to save these goodies LOL!
Customer Spotlight Sunday!
Today we have more beautiful cards to share with you from one of our customers, Emilee Ann Smith! Be sure to stop by her blog and see her other cards!
Sweet and Froggy
What a fun month and so many fantastic digis to play with! I've got a couple of projects to share with you on my last post as a guest designer for Sweet n Sassy Digis. My head is still spinning from trying to decide what fantastic images to use. There are just so many to choose from!
There's this widow at our church that my husband has a soft spot for, so I wanted to put together a little something sweet he could give her for Easter. I think he will enjoy giving it to her more than she'll enjoy the gift itself but then that's usually the case with gift giving. I created a candy bar wrap for a one of those large chocolate bars.
I used the Christ Arose set which has this beautiful image, the sentiment I used, plus several other sentiments. I know the robes on the cross are usually colored with royal purple, but I wanted to use the scarlet to symbolize the blood that was shed on the cross. I colored the image with my copics and prisma pencils. There's no real trick to the wrap. I just measured the candy bar and scored my card stock appropriately. I used a velcro closure to keep it closed.
The Thursday Digi Day Challenge at SNR this week was "silly for stripes". I love these challenges but just have a very hard time getting them finished on Thursday. It's that day job I have that's slowing me down! Anyway, a day late and a dollar short, I wanted to show you the card I created for the challenge.
This card uses the Fenton Frog image which you can pick up for less than a dollar and that's a lot of cute for less than a buck. There's lots of texture on this one. You can't tell it very well in the picture but the floral paper has glazed flowers on it, the prima flowers have chunky glitter on them, and the ribbon is fringed.
Can you believe February is gone? Spring will be here before we know it, so keep coloring all those beautiful flowers to tide us over until the real thing arrives!
Good Friday everyone!
Today I am going to share several cards with you.
I knew the moment I saw Leah's Asian Doll and Cherry Blossom Branch, that I was going to feature these digital stamps this week.
Everything went well until it was time to assemble the card... and then I got a little too ink happy along the edges of the Cherry Blossom Branch panel.
Both images colored with Copics. I used my Spellbinder Nesties labels to cut out the Cherry Blossom Branch but didn't have enough white space around my Asian Doll to use the same label die (only smaller) which is why the Asian Doll is just a plain rectangle. I used chalk ink to ink around the edges of both image panels and then could not decide how I wanted the images to be laid out on the card. I saw it in my head, just couldn't get it to coordinate on the card. I'm still not all that happy with it.
Because I was not happy with it and I had fussed with it all evening long, I decided to do a quick & simple card. I've had "Ollie Owl" colored for a while. And I must admit, this uber simple card made me feel a little better.
Since I had this DP paper from my previous card all ready, I just slapped it onto a white card base. I used my Nesties to emboss the label die into the card front, using the DP panel to center it. I attached "Ollie Owl " with foam squares and voila, I felt somewhat better, lol.
Oh and drop by our SNR group, the Digi Day challenge is open until Monday morning, so you still have plenty of time to play along.
Bear Hug
I'll let you in on a little secret...I have always longed to have a window seat. Ideally, it would be in a bedroom complete with a turret in an old Victorian home. Picture it...a beautiful area off to the side of a bedroom with a window seat covered in big, soft pillows. A perfect spot to curl up with a novel, a sketchbook...or even a place to sit and daydream. Sigh...as much as I adore Victorian homes, I'm not about to take on the financial commitment of renovating and restoring one! Perhaps someday. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE my house and feel very blessed to have it! We can all have dreams though, right?
Well, this is just one of the reasons I fell in love with this image from Sweet 'n Sassy Digital Stamps. Just look at that window seat!! This is called "Bear Hug" by Deedee Anderson, and it is just absolutely adorable.
As always, I printed the image on Neenah cardstock and coloured with my Copics. I sponged all the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink...actually, I inked the American Crafts ribbon with it as well. The sentiment is part of the "Bear Sentiments" set. Finally, I added some Star Dust Stickles to the image and to the Prima Hydrangeas.
By now you know the drill! Thursdays are Digi Day on the Sweet 'n Sassy SNR group. Korin has something very exciting planned for the challenge today! She will be giving away a freebie for joining us (you must play along by 10pm EST tonight for the freebie), PLUS she'll be drawing one lucky winner who plays along by Monday morning to win a $10 digi credit to the store!! It all begins around 10:00 am EST. There is bound to be some great conversation and some gorgeous cards posted, so don't miss out on the fun!
Blessings,
Melanie
Cocoa's Chocolates
Mmmm... don't these look like yummy choccies! Speaking as a cocoholic myself, I couldn't resist using them for this week's post! (Get your own Cocoa HERE in the Sweet'n Sassy digi store and the sentiment HERE)
I coloured the image with my copic markers and then popped the choccies up on dimensionals, and then the single central choclate on yet another layer. I added some stickles to the chocolate icing and to Cocoa's nose, then some bling and silver pearls.
It's such a simple card, yet it took me over an hour and a half to make! I've no idea why!
Daisy Princess
I can't believe how quickly this month has gone by & that this will be my last post as a guest designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Digis. I want to thank the Sweet 'n Sassy team for the opportunity to showcase their amazing stamps!
This week I chose Daisy Princess for my card - I printed her on neenah paper and coloured the image with copics. I added some tiny twinkles in the centre of the flowers for some bling. The ds paper is from imaginisce's Lucy Bird line. The punch is Fiskars apron lace; this is one of my favourite punches. I added some white ribbon and a button.
Hope you have a great day - thanks again for letting me be a part of the Sweet 'n Sassy team!
FOUR Spring Images in ONE!
It's another Monday with little ol' me, Nicole!  And if you are a follower of THE SWEET STOP sketch blog, you may have already seen this card!  I don't know about you, but Spring can not come fast enough to my home in Indiana!  So, I am just in love with how this card came out using four different Spring digital images by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!  It looks like ALL four of these images could be from one larger set!
You can see KATE PLANTING HERE, the butterfly on the flower in FLUTTERING BY HERE, the large daisies in the FLOWER BOUQUET HERE, and also find the SENTIMENT HERE from the Springtime Blessings sentiment set!!
Above is the latest sketch from THE SWEET STOP sketch blog, which my card was inspired by!  When I first saw this sketch, I was of course trying to incorporate the 'SPIN of using flowers' in my card.   At first I thought I would use paper flowers or diecuts in the shapes, but then I got to thinking how I could make a little 'scene' in each using a few of the new Spring-inspired stamps by Sweet 'n Sassy!!!  CLICK HERE to see all of the NEW images in the store, but be sure you are sitting down, because there are TONS!!
I hope you take a moment to drop by The Sweet Stop to browse the beautiful cards by the Sugar Babies Design Team!  And while you are at it, why not play along with us!?  IF you do, you could just win the PRIZE of a $20.00 gift certificate to SWEET 'N SASSY STAMPS STORE
Make it a great MONDAY!
Spring Crafting
Spring cleaning....Yuk! But, spring crafting is another thing altogether! I've got three spring fresh projects to share with you today and then I'm off to do a little shopping (another springtime favorite).
First up is a little project I made for my nephew who had a birthday this month. I used the SNS set Early Bird for a little "tongue-in-cheek" gag gift that I hope gives him a little chuckle even if it is kind of corny!
On the card's inside it reads "So I thought I'd bring you dinner!" Now what fourteen year old wouldn't crave a bucket of worms! To match the gummy worms in the bucket, I used red and green stickles on the worm in the bird's mouth. Scrumptious!
Last year we were gripped by a horrible drought and basically had no spring. I really missed seeing the beautiful wildflowers on the sides of the road. This year, thanks to winter rains, should be much more colorful, but to help with the flower crop, I put together this little gift packet of flower seeds.Here's the inside:
I used the Springtime Blessings Sentiment set inside and Kate Planting on the outside. This is tied closed with a bow. The image is colored with copics and prisma pencils.
I wish I were Kate. I'm ready to dig up all the plants killed by the freeze and put a whole fresh crop of plants in the ground....soon!
Finally, I want to share a bookmark I made with the very beautiful Bible image. The scripture is John 3:16. The Bible is surrounded by lovely Easter Lilies. These bookmarks would make great gifts for a Bible study group or Sunday school class. I colored the image with copics and prisma pencils and cut out the image with Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities. Then, I mounted it on the bookmark after adding some patterned paper and a little sewing.
If the winter blahs have you down, be sure to head over to Sweet n Sassy for a Springtime pick-me-up! You'll be feeling warm and sunny in no time at all with all the crafting you can do with these adorable and inexpensive digital stamps and stamp sets. Even if it's not time to put flowers in the ground, it's never too early to put some on a card!
Clean & Simple, One Mistake and some Elegance
Happy Friday everyone.
I love candles. To me, the soft glow from the light of a candle create a feeling of tranquility, peace and coziness. I was excited to see the Lights of Home and Lights Sentiment digi sets.
I confess that this card is a quick & simple card. I used some DP scraps from my scrap basket and white card stock. The candle image is printed onto Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth card stock and colored with Copics.
My next card was actually my first card I worked on. I followed this weeks Sweet Stop Sketch. And in the end I just wasn't happy with it. It looks lopsided, but thought I'd let you guys see it anyway :-).
My last card is one of my favorites. I already featured it on my blog but wanted to share it here too.
I used the bells from the Wedding Day digi set double stacked them to create a dimensional effect. I love doing that, it really does add such dimension which you can see in the close-up below.
Before getting ready for this post, I jumped over to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and 'oohhhed' and 'aahhed'. Seriously, have YOU seen the latest digi stamps? That Asian Doll digi has my name all over it, lol.... You guys have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to stop back here tomorrow for some inspiration from our guest DT, Lisa Jurecek.
An Abundance of Cocoa!
That's right...Cocoa is popping up all over the place at Sweet 'n Sassy!! If you have not ever seen this sweet little mouse, then you are totally missing out! Korin Sutherland, owner of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, illustrated this adorable little character, and he has been found peeking out from behind many different items over the last couple of months! Cocoa is definitely a popular image! Recently, Korin added several new Cocoa images and I know you will want each and every one! The beautiful thing is...you can get them all without breaking the bank! They are priced at an amazing $3.00 each(USD), and remember, because they are digital images you will have them instantly! No waiting in anticipation for the post man!
For today, I chose to work with "Peek-a-Boo" Cocoa. I think we are all longing for spring...to see that first shoot of green from under the white blanket. It will be here soon enough, but in the meantime it's fun to colour some fresh "springy" images! I printed Cocoa off on Neenah cardstock and coloured with my Copic markers. The sentiment is part of "Springtime Blessings".
That cute little butterfly flitting about above Cocoa's head is also a Sweet 'n Sassy image called "Whimsical Butterfly". I gave the butterfly a coat of Frosted Lace Stickles, and bent up the wings before adhering it to the main image.
Now remember, Thursdays are Digi Day over at our Sweet 'n Sassy Group on SNR. Our host for today is the fabulously talented Lynne...can't wait to see what she created for the challenge! Join us for some fun conversation and amazing cards by the DT and Sweet 'n Sassy customers!
See you later on over at SNR!
God bless!
Melanie
Sew Sweet!
Happy Wednesday everyone... can you believe we're half way to the weekend already!
It was so difficult to choose which image I was going to use today as Sweet'n Sassy have been releasing loads of new digis ... my advice is to check the home page frequently and look at the Whats New section!
I eventually chose little Sew Happy Cocoa ...  get him HERE, and the matching sentiment set HERE.  (He might feature on my Mother's Day card too as my Mum loves sewing!)
I hand stitched round the little blue panel with pink thread and then did some faux stitching round the edges.  The little scissors are from a set of brads I bought at the craft show in Belfast, not knowing when I was ever going to use them, but they're just perfect with Sewing Cocoa!
Don't forget our digi challenge day over at SNR, come and join us for some fun every Thursday
I hope to see you there!
Lynne
Peek A Boo...
I love this image of Cocoa hiding behind the rock; reminds me of when I was a kid & we hid behind some huge rocks at our cabin (and then of course jumped off them!)
Peek-a-boo Cocoa is cut out with a rectangle nesties and coloured with copics. For the centre of the flowers I used some pink doodlebug crushed velvet flock and then added some pink mircrofine glitter. On the lady bugs spots I used a pitch black atyou spica pen. The paper is from my stash of Basic Grey called Phoebe and I used an EK success punch.
I am having a great time with these digi images; I can't believe next week will be my last post!
Thanks for stopping by
One of a Kind!
Happy GREAAAAAAAAAAT American's Day!  Can you believe it is yet another MONDAY!?  I am always feeling so blessed when I get to post something new on this wonderful Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps DigiBlog because it means that I survived another week of winter with snow!  Sometimes being homebound with my three kids!  HA!
I thought I would bring some "SPRING" into your step with this Spring-inspired digi called 'One-Of-A-Kind' that you can find HERE in the SNSS store!  I love this digi because not only does it bring warmth and the remembrance of the season to come, but it also reminds me a bit of myself!  I have never been one to want to fit into a 'mold'.  It seems that I have always wanted to make a statement, of sorts, and go against the grain... so I really love this image and the sentiments that go with it!  I have been trying to teach my three younger children that it is no fun being like everyone else!  However, it IS SUPAH FUN being yourself and believing in who you are!  I hope they grasp that some day because it really will help them in this competitive day and age!
I hope you all are staying warm and surviving the snow!  We're half way through February!  Hang in there!
Hugs to all!   ~ Nicole ~
Sew Special Purse
There are so many great digital stamps coming out of Sweet N Sassy I just can't keep up! I want them all! But some of my favorite images are of Cocoa. I love how he peeks out from behind things. So adorable!
I had a totally different project in mind when I first saw this Sew Happy Cocoa image. I was going to actually do some sewing for one thing, but then I found a miniature sewing kit at the dollar store and was looking for a way to package that up and that's how this little Sew Special Purse was created!
I don't know that I would give a small sewing kit to a real seamstress, but this would be a great gift for a grad going off to college. Put a little cash in the purse along with the safety pins, needles, and thread and the graduate is ready for minor clothing emergencies anyway. The sentiment is also perfect for a special graduate. It's from the Sew Many Thoughts sentiment set.
I added a couple of tissue paper flowers and some buttons to give the project a homespun feel. The "purse" is from a template I purchased online. I normally am not crazy about orange, but I really liked it with this project.  Be sure to go check out all the latest Cocoa stamps at Sweet N Sassy. There are some really "sweet" ones available. Happy Valentine's Day!
Rocking Horse Cuteness
Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a good week and those of you on the east coast have had a chance to dig yourselves out from all that snow.
For my card today, I chose to play with the adorable "Rocking Horse", illustrated by Leah Cornelius.
I know I sound redundant, constantly saying how I love this and that image, but seriously, this adorable image just tugs at my heart strings.
I printed the image twice on Neenah Classis Smooth Solar White 80lb card stock and then colored one with Copics. I then used a craft knife to cut out the rocking horse. The other image I filled in with a medium gray marker (for this I generally use my Prisma markers), I then trimmed it to size and using my Cats Eye ink pads applied the ink all over the panel, using a napkin to sort of smooth the ink. Since the image is a dark gray, I didn't worry about creating a mask. I then adhered the colored, cut-out image right on top of the gray one with 1/16" foam glue squares. I love doing this because it really does add awesome dimension. Here's a close up:
I have to admit that I've gotten quite good wielding a craft knife, lo. Once I cut out the image, I use a fingernail file to gently soften the edges and then go along the edges with a medium gray marker - again, usually use my Prisma Markers for that.
My second card is a very quick & simple card. As much as I love to color, sometimes no image is required to create a simple, elegant card... the sentiment alone does the job.
The sentiment is from Love Sentiments 1. Just plain black and white card stock, some recycled ribbon and black brads. To me this clean and simple style is timeless and took me less than 10 minutes to create and that, my friends, is a record for me. Remember, I over analyze everything, lol! I love quotes/sentiments and squeal with delight everytime Korin releases sentiment sets. Actually, I squeal with delight not just at the sentiments.....but at all the new digi releases...... :-)
Remember to check Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps store for the latest digi stamp releases, and why not sign up for the newsletter. That way you will always know the latest happenings.
Sweet Melodies
Good morning! I hope you have all had a fantastic week, and that you have all stayed safe and warm in the cold weather.
Today, I am sharing a card I made with "Melody of Love". I fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it! I have always loved the violin. It is an instrument I have always wanted to learn to play. Actually, I did take lessons for a short time in high school, but my busy homework schedule just didn't allow for the time I needed to pour into the lessons. Sigh. See, I'm not exactly musically inclined. My husband is though...he has been involved in music since childhood. He is one of the worship leaders at our church, and I love to listen to him play and/or sing. Perhaps someday I'll try to get back into lessons...I guess you're never to old to learn something new. I have my own violin too...well, my grandmother had given me my grandfather's very old violin. It is in major need of repairs though!
I suppose you probably would like to see the card though, right?? I printed "Melody of Love" on Neenah cardstock and coloured with my Copic markers. I cut the image out with Nestabilities, and then sponged around the edges with Distress Inks while it was still in the the die. There are some beautiful sentiments that come with this image, however I chose just to use this little metal embellishment that I found at the dollar store.
Don't forget that Thursdays are Digi Day over at our SNR group. Korin is our hostess today, and she has put forth the challenge "So Sweet". Well, my card does not feature a "sweet" that is tasty however, I think of the sweet music that the violin produces...when played by a skilled musician. I could just sit for hours and listen.
So, head on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy store to pick up some brand new images and then hop over to SNR to get in on the fun!
Blessings!
Melanie
Birdie Delivery
This sweet little bird (Birdie Delivery - only $0.99) was released at the end of January but I haven't had a chance to play with it till now!  You'll have to trust me when I tell you the button looks the same colour as the bird in real life and the darker pink in the DP, but my photography skills are seriously lacking!  Roll on Spring and the brighter nights for better photos!
I used my dotty embossing folder on the central image and then popped the bird up on dimensionals.  And of course every card needs some bling, so I added some clear gems and silver stickles to the little heart, and a little silver safety pin to the bow to finish.
Don't forget that EVERY DAY is DIGI DAY at Sweet'n Sassy Stamps - check the home page HERE and scroll down to see what's new!
The correct answer was 6 and the winner is Jeri!!
Jeri, I will be sending your prize shortly!
Thanks for playing along with us! We had such a great time sharing with you and reading all your sweet comments :).
Is it Spring Yet?!
Happy Tuesday, I am excited to be back with 2 images from the February release. I love these springtime images, especially since it is anything but springlike here! We haven't had the snow that a lot of place in the States have but we've had cold nights, fog & frost that lasts all day - I can hardly wait to see the birds and green grass again!
The first card I am sharing with you is called "One of a Kind". The image is printed onto Neenah paper and coloured with copics, I did paper piece the wings so the stand out from the image. I added some orange stickles to the buds on the tree and used an orange atyou spica pen for their wings.
The second card is Benjamin Bunny - a perfect Easter/spring image! I coloured the image with copics and used a clear glaze pen on the pot to make it look like a glazed clay pot. In the centre of the flower I added some blue stickles. The sentiment is from Springtime Blessings. I added some orange rhinestones to the centre of the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by, I am having so much fun playing with these amazing digi images -
You Strike My Fancy!!
Happy MONDAY to you! Isn't this the sweetest? I made this card using Sweet 'n Sassy's Bowling Strike image (illustrated by Korin's 12 year old son!) HERE and one of the three Bowling Sentiments HERE! I kept my card simple and stream-lined so it would look more masculine. This way I can give it to my hubby for Valentine's Day! Good thing he never checks out MY blog, otherwise he would know he's getting this adorable card! HA!
There are so many new digi images at the Sweet 'n Sassy STORE now that we have gone ALL digital! Don't forget to pick up some clear stamps while they last, though! There are some really awesome deals, perfect for you and those stamping friends of yours!!
Blessings on your day!
A Spring Preview
Hello, everyone! I'm Lisa at ZippyCrafts making my first guest appearance here at the SNS blog. I was so excited about all the great new images released this week at Sweet N Sassy that I went into a crafting frenzy. Therefore, I have not one or two projects to share with you today, but THREE! Can someone say "Overkill!"? I would have done even more, but I didn't want to be one of those guests that overstay their welcome, lol.
Alright! First up is the absolutely adorable Benjamin Bunny. Have you seen this guy? He is too cute to poot! I want to pull him out of the paper and give him a big squeeze.
I don't guess bunnies are just for Easter, but that was the first thing that popped into my head so he needed some Easter eggs. Good thing I saved a few plastic eggs from last year because I didn't have much luck finding Easter candies yet. And since Benjamin is not the Easter bunny, I wanted his eggs to come by bunny mail, so I created this cute little mailbox for him to wait by.
Next up, is a card created with One of a Kind. Love the message of this set and the little birdies are so fun to color. To make him special, I added some Waterfall Stickles to the wings of the birdie in the middle.
I could see giving this to one of my junior high students since they are so concerned with fitting in and acceptance by peers. Individuality  is its own blessing!
Still with me? I've got one more for you. I used the beautiful, elegant Fluttering By set to decorate this tote.
I found this nifty tutorial for making these totes and then found these inexpensive bath salt and bath tablets to give as a gift. What a great sentiment and image for dressing up this gift bag.
Thanks for letting me share. You can find more details on my blog for each of these projects and you can get all these awesome images at Sweet N Sassy. If they don't lock the gates on me, I'll be back next Saturday with some more projects from SNS.
Early Bird gets the worm....
Happy Friday Sweet 'n Sassy stampers.
With all the excitement of SNS Digi Day at SNR yesterday, seeing ALL of the February digis at the store, I was super excited to play with Deedee's "Early Bird" digi stamp.
You know, it dawned on me that I really had no clue exactly what color baby birds are! It's not like I have never seen baby birds, trust me..... we have soooo many birds around our house but for some reason the moment I picked up my Copics, my brain went blank. Does that ever happen to you?
I tried something a little different as far as copic color combinations for the big bird. I laid down a base of R17, used R59 for the shadows and areas that I wanted darker, went over those same areas with E09 and then took E13 all over, pushing the darker reds towards the lines. Never be afraid to experiement, especially with markers.
I also used this weeks sketch from The Sweet Stop for my card design and it worked out wonderfully!!!
If you stopped by yesterday, you know about the exciting news that Sweet 'n Sassy has gone 100% digital. That means if you go to the store, you get to see ALL .... that's right, like a whole bunch of new cute, adorable and beautiful digi stamps. What are you waiting for..... head over to Sweet 'n Sassy and check it out!
A "Little" Something Special...or two!!
First thing's first...did you see Sweet 'n Sassy's big news this week??!! We're going all digital! We helped Korin celebrate this announcement with a blog hop on Monday...you can still scroll down to Monday's post to visit all the DT's blogs to see their creations...wow, they were incredible! What a talented bunch of ladies! Speaking of the DT...we GREW!!! (let me clarify that we grew in NUMBERS, not by pant size... lol) So much excitement this week already, and would you believe there is more?? Korin has decided to release all the February digis, and a few of the March images today! Yup, go take a look at the store...so many adorable images! Also, you will need to keep your eyes on the store, because Korin will be releasing new digis frequently. My advice is to check daily!
So what does all this mean for our "Digi Day Thursdays"? Since there will be daily new releases, we will now have a challenge day on SNR every Thursday! The first Thursday of the month will feature a "prize" challenge. We hope you will play along on the other Thursdays too, because Korin will be on the lookout for our Guest Designers and Spotlight Customers from the participants! Today, our hostess over on SNR is Micki! The challenge....USE THOSE BUTTONS!!
Whew...oh yeah, I have a couple of cards too! (hope you've stuck with me this long!)
The first card I made, is a teeny little 4x4 notecard. I LOVE little cards...I'm always drawn to them in stores! I used the adorable "Benjamin Bunny", printed him off on Neenah cardstock and coloured him with my Copic markers. I kept the layout really simple, and just layered him on some coloured cardstock and My Mind's Eye DP.
My second card was made with our SNR challenge in mind! This new image is "One of a Kind". Again, I printed it off on Neenah and coloured with Copic markers. The sky was sponged in with a make-up sponge and a hand-cut cloud template. I think the DP here is from Fancy Pants. This little birdie just makes me giggle! Being different isn't necessarily a bad thing...after all God made each of us unique! We should celebrate who He made us...but at the same time, be willing to be shaped and molded into who He wants us to become!
So, I hope your day will include a stop by SNR to participate in the chatting and challenge! I hope to stop by there later after work. I hope you all have a fantastic, blessed day!!
A sweet Snail and a friendly Flutterby!
So the big secret is out that Sweet'n Sassy are going digital ... hope you all enjoyed our Lots of Love blog hop on Monday as much as we did!
And don't forget that the clear stamp sets are ALL 50% off but are selling fast, so you'd need to be very quick with your shopping basket!
I thought today I'd show you this this sweet little snail (Snail & Friend) which was released a while ago by Sweet'n Sassy (please remember to quote me during the summer when the snails have ravaged my garden that I called it SWEET!) .
I coloured it with my faithful copic markers and popped the shell up on dimensionals. (The shell does match my DP and the ribbon is a really bright yellow but as usual I couldn't get it photographed right with these dark evenings). Added some bling, some clear dew drops and a tiny bit of stickles on the butterfly and Ta Da .... done!
(I think this image would make a good 'new home' card too.)
