Thanks A Latte!

Happy Saturday to you!

With the cooler weather I'm enjoying flavored coffee.  I've never really been into the flavored creamers but Coffee Mate has one out called Peppermint Mocha that we decided to try and it's now a favorite.  I have to also admit that I've had a gift card to Starbucks for awhile too and just used it.  They have a Pumpkin Spice Latte that is so yummy and creamy that it tastes like pumpkin pie!  With cool weather and warm coffee on the brain I decided to use Cocoa's Latte for my card above!  I think this is one of my favorite Cocoa's!

Mental Note:  Did you know....
that it's just 40 days until Thanksgiving and 70 days until Christmas?

With Christmas in mind, here's one more card using Christmas Bear.  This bear is so cute and I added stripes to the hat!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

For My Sweet Pumpkin

I don't know about you but I think candy corn is such a fun fall treat, so I decided to make a quick fall gift using an empty Prima flower jar filled with candy corn. I stamped one of the pumpkins from our adorable fall stamp set, Sweet Pumpkin, to add a bit more sweetness to the jar. The jack-o-lanterns in this set are full of smiles....when you see them, you can't help but smile, too!

Here's a close up of the lid which reads "For my sweet pumpkin". Too cute!

The great thing about quick projects like this is you can use up some of those scraps you've had lying around for a while. How adorable would it be to pair this gift up with a small matching gift card :)? Love it!

Wishing you a fabulous Fall day full of sweet treats :)!

Poinsettias in Pink

Hello everyone.
Thank you for stopping by today. I am honored to be a Sweet' N Sassy Stamps design team member and today I want to share yet another BEAUTIFUL flower image by Leah Cornelius. I just love her work. Leah's flowers lend themselves so well to coloring with any medium. My favorite medium is Copic Markers. I used RV000, Rv00, R81, R83, R85, R89, G21, G24, G40, G94 G99, Y 15, Y17, O, W0, W1. I then sponged around the image with Distressed Ink Antique Linen and sprayed it with Vanilla Smooch Spritz. The sentiment is from Fancy Flexible Phrases by Stampin Up. I used Wild Wasibi and Rose Red card stock and layered with My Mind's Eye and Making Memories designer paper. The punch is a Martha Stewart border punch and of course I had to add bling with my Swarovski Crystals and a touch of Rose ribbon finishes it off. The sketch is from Splitcoast. SCS301 sketch challenge.

Please stop by Sweet' N Sassy Stamps to see all of the wonderful images Korin and the girls have for you.

Thank you again for stopping by and have a lovely day.

God Bless,
Deb

December Poinsettias

Happy Wednesday!

For today's card I used a fantastic newly released Digi image called December Poinsettia.
I printed the image twice, colored them with Copic Markers then cut one set out to layer for some great dimension. I added some yellow glitter to the centers.

The papers are from Close to my Heart. The half pearls are from CTMH also but some were colored with Copic Markers to match.

The hand stitching was done with matching Embroidery Floss.

You might want to pick this beauty up for yourself. After all, there's only 73 days until Christmas. *Ü*

New Design Team Members

Today we'd like to introduce you to 2 wonderful ladies who have recently joined our design team. They started October 1 and really should have been introduced to you sooner, but with the Heirloom Stamp Show taking up so much of our time as of late, we just never got to it.

So, without further adieu please welcome Janice Melton and Deb Vandersteeg to the Design Divas Team :). I think you will agree that each of them are very talented and they will be wonderful assets to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

Hello! My name is Janice Melton (catcrazy on SCS). I am currently a stay at home Mom. I live in south central Pennsylvania with my wonderful husband Roger, our 2 teenage sons (13 & 17), 11 cats and 1 dog. I started out scrapbooking about 8 years ago but got side-tracked when I discovered card making about 3 years ago! I enjoy doing card challenges and learning new techniques.

I have loved Jesus since I can remember and am so blessed to be married to my best friend for twenty-nine years who supports me and knows that I need to create to live. Our home is in beautiful, Western Michigan and have three grown children.

I am an artist at heart and have been creative all of my life. I attended college where I studied Fine Arts and through the years have taught classes in basket making and rubber stamping. My work is currently being sold in a gallery not far form where I live. This past July I redesigned my blog, Little Works of Art and I also have a gallery on Splitcoast Stampers.

My passion for rubber stamping started twelve years ago when I was invited to a stamping party. I was hooked. It has been so fun to see my style and ability change over the years. I just found the first card I ever made and I remember being so proud of it, now I look at it and just smile. Well, I guess we all have to start somewhere.

One of the things I love about Sweet’ N Sassy Stamp images is how they lend themselves to many different mediums. One of my favorite techniques is coloring with Copic markers but colored pencil, paper piecing or watercolor would work wonderfully as well.

I want to thank Korin for this wonderful opportunity. I look forward to sharing my creations and getting to know you.

Please join me in welcoming Janice and Deb to the design team :). We are so happy to have them both with us!

Fall Mums

Happy Tuesday my Sweet 'n Sassy friends!!  Last week SNSS released a bunch of great new digi stamps, one being November Chrysanthemum which I've used today.  A quick Google for chrysanthemums turned up some beautiful Fall colored mums, I especially love the variegated variety!

So for my card today I used a great CAS layout and had some fun coloring with Copics. I love the mixture of yellows and reds, it just screams Fall!

One of the beauties of these digi stamps is that you have instant gratification!  See an image you like?  Just add to your cart, check out and download it almost instantly - love that!!

Check out all of the beautiful flower digi stamps at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and have some fun coloring today! :)
