Serene Silhouettes and Josephs Coat
Morning everyone! Today I'm excited to share a card that I created a few weeks ago after trying a new technique. Well...it's not new, just new to me! This is called the Josephs Coat technique and I'm assuming it's name from Joseph's multi-colored coat that was given to him by his father Jacob in the Genesis story. To get the best results for this technique, use a solid stamp and what could be better than the recently released Serene Silhouetttes set. I love this set and use it frequently....It's perfect for all kinds of card designs! The background designer paper is from Ruby Rock-it and the ribbon with the sentiment was created from white cardstock.
You'll need the following for this technique:
Rainbow ink pad
Black ink pad
Brayer
Clean cloth or paper towel
Embossing ink pad
Clear embossing powder
Solid stamps
1. Begin with th rainbow ink pad and a brayer. (I did my brayering on smooth, white cardstock but glossy works just as well or better)
2. Use the brayer to pick up ink from the rainbow pad and completely cover the cardstock.
3. Allow to dry completely.
4. Use embossing ink (I used a VersaMark pad) to stamp your solid images.
5. Emboss with clear embossing powder.
6. Then grab the brayer again (it's a good idea to have two brayers for this as the black ink will stain your brayer) and completely cover the entire piece of cardstock with black ink. Dye ink is the best option for this because you want it to dry quickly.
7. Now comes the fun part...Take a clean cloth and rub over the embossed areas, the ink will easily wipe away and you'll be left with your beautiful and colorful image!
Why not give this technique a try today! I had a great time playing around with my brayer and all the color options! Beware...getting inky fingers is a side effect!! :-) And while you're at it, check out the great silhouettes bundle that Sweet 'n Sassy is offering, great stuff!
Enjoy!

Harvest Blessings
Hello out there! I'm so excited it's my day to share with you some Sweet 'n Sassy goodness! Thank you so much to Korin and Kim for having me!! :) How about some Harvest Blessings? This is such a beautiful image and so fun to color! I haven't made a tent topper card is a long time and thought this image would make such an interesting top! Wouldn't this make pretty placecards for your Thanksgiving table too?
Maybe the reason I love Fall is that I love orange! It's a happy color for me, and perfect for Happy Thanksgiving wishes!
I added a partial scored line to the bottom for just a bit of interest. It was also a great place to use some orange bling! I just love the font used for this set, it's beautiful!
Thanks for joining me on this first Tuesday in October. I look forward to seeing you all again next week!

Pumpkin Cocoa
Have you seen the new digis that were just released the other day? I think that this release is especially fabulous! I love Cocoa and the pumpkin image is one of my new favorites. So the card I have to show you today uses it and the layout is the sweet stop sketch for the week.

This is image is so fun to color! I used my copics to do so. I thought I would share the colors I used with you. I also used vintage photo distress ink to sponge around my colored image so the white did not look so stark with my papers.
Pumpkin- YR21, YR12, YR14, YR18, E33 (body of pumpkin)/ E42, E44 (stem)/ YG93, G99 (leaf)
Cocoa- E30, E31, E33, E35, E37/ R0000, R00, R02 (nose and ears)
Shadow under pumpkin- W00, W01, W03
Here is a closer look for you:

Thanks for stopping in today. Check back tomorrow for some more awesome inspiration from another one of our designers.
Have a blessed day!

A Little Cocoa?
My title is "A Little Cocoa?" but I wasn't talking about hot cocoa although our weather has been perfect for it. Instead I'm talking about the cute little mouse Cocoa. I love to see all the little things he's hiding behind, what a big adventurer he is!
Hopefully you had a chance to see the variety of NEW digis released yesterday. There's something for everyone!

We have so enjoyed seeing your work!!
And now on to the October guests! I am thrilled to announce that we have former design team member Sandy Domelle and former Sweet Stop design team member Julie Masse joining us! And now on to the October guests! I am thrilled to announce that we have former design team member Sandy Domelle and former Sweet Stop design team member Julie Masse joining us! Both of these ladies are amazingly talented and I can't wait to see what they come up with this month! Here's a little more about both of these ladies...
Sandy Domelle - I am a born-again Christian wife and mother. Stamping is the hobby I enjoy doing in my spare time. It encourages me to pray and think about the person I am making the card for. Often I include Scripture on my cards to encourage and uplift someones day. I love to send cards to missionaries, shut-ins, those who are sick, and of course, family and friends. Stamping is not only a hobby but a passion to share the love of Jesus with those I love and care about.
Julie Masse - My professional background is in the legal field but now I am a SAHM of 5 in Southern Maine. I love being at home with my family and I love stamping! I've been blessed to be on a number of design teams over the years. I'm currently on the Kitchen Sink Stamps, Tiffany Doodles, and SALT challenge blog design teams and was previously on the Paper Pretties and Say-it-With Letters teams. I'm also the co-founder of Stamping Around, a brand new stamping event planning business.
Please join me in welcoming these ladies to the team this month!
