A Little Cocoa?

My title is "A Little Cocoa?" but I wasn't talking about hot cocoa although our weather has been perfect for it.  Instead I'm talking about the cute little mouse Cocoa.  I love to see all the little things he's hiding behind, what a big adventurer he is!

Hopefully you had a chance to see the variety of NEW digis released yesterday.  There's something for everyone!

October Guest Designers

Hey...how did it get to be October? Is it just me or did September just fly by!! Well some of us might not be ready for colder weather but I'm definitely ready to announce our October guest designers and I couldn't be more excited!! But first...please join me in thanking our September guests, Andrea Vernagus and Melissa Craig . Ladies, thank you so much for your contribution to our team this month! We have so enjoyed seeing your work!!

And now on to the October guests! I am thrilled to announce that we have former design team member Sandy Domelle and former Sweet Stop design team member Julie Masse joining us! Both of these ladies are amazingly talented and I can't wait to see what they come up with this month! Here's a little more about both of these ladies...

Sandy Domelle - I am a born-again Christian wife and mother. Stamping is the hobby I enjoy doing in my spare time. It encourages me to pray and think about the person I am making the card for. Often I include Scripture on my cards to encourage and uplift someones day. I love to send cards to missionaries, shut-ins, those who are sick, and of course, family and friends. Stamping is not only a hobby but a passion to share the love of Jesus with those I love and care about.

Julie Masse - My professional background is in the legal field but now I am a SAHM of 5 in Southern Maine. I love being at home with my family and I love stamping! I've been blessed to be on a number of design teams over the years. I'm currently on the Kitchen Sink Stamps, Tiffany Doodles, and SALT challenge blog design teams and was previously on the Paper Pretties and Say-it-With Letters teams. I'm also the co-founder of Stamping Around, a brand new stamping event planning business.

Please join me in welcoming these ladies to the team this month!

Thanks a Latte Sweet N Sassy

This is  my final post as a Sweet n Sassy Design Diva, and I had to take a few moments to say "thank you". I've had the best time playing with all the wonderful digis and clear stamps from SNS. There is just so much talent among this wonderful company and its designers.
I'm going to take some time out to reflect upon my crafting and reorganize my household. But I've got so many great digis and clear stamps from SNS to play with for a long, long time, and I'm looking forward to lots of play time.
For my final posting, I just had to use my most favorite little cutie--Cocoa.
You can find this little sweetie called Cocoa's Latte at the SNS store. For only $3 you get an amazing value since it can be used over and over again and enlarged or made smaller as you need. I added the sentiment by inserting a text box over the clear space in the middle. There is lots of room there for digital text or stamped sentiments.
I look forward to visiting here often to see all the beautiful creations. Happy crafting, everyone!
Cheers!
Lisa

Bread of Life Gift set

Did I make you hungry? :) I wanted to make a special gift for my friend who is hosting a women's bible study in her home and wanted to use the Bread of Life stamp set along with some tasty treats. For my card I stamped the pretty bread image and colored it and carefully trimmed it out and then added some pretty finishing touches. While I was thinking of the cookies I wanted to make I realized that I need a somewhat large box to have them lie flat in as these cookies can't just be tossed into a bag. Then an idea hit me! My box is a cereal box with a face lift:) I took a 12 oz cereal box and glued the flap portion closed and then cut 3 sides out of the now top, of the box. I cut a window in the top flap and adhered some acetate to the inside flap and then covered the rest of the box with some pretty K&Co. paper. Once the box and cookies were made, I added a lining of wax paper and a dozen cookies fit perfectly! I tied the box closed with a strip of ribbon and had my gift ready to go! The cookies I made are super yummy if you like pumpkin, and as fall is starting to show, so I love me some pumpkin;) Here's the recipe if you want to try them, ( a tip about getting perfectly formed drop cookies, use a cookie scoop. It's like an ice cream scoop, just made for cookies;) and maybe make a few extra to bless someone with.
Chocolate Drizzled Pumpkin Cookies
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp.baking powder
1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 15oz canned pumpkin
4oz melted bakers chocolate or chocolate chips with a dab of butter
Pre-heat oven to 375.
Whisk together dry ingredients. Using an electric mixer, beat sugar and butter together until fluffy. Add egg. Beat until smooth.
With mixer on low, alternately add flour and pumpkin to egg mixture. Mix until just combined. Drop cookies by the rounded Tblspn full on a greased cookie sheet. Bake until edges are lightly browned and cookies are firm to the touch, about 15-20 minutes.
Cool cookies on wire rack. Melt chocolate. With a spoon drizzle the chocolate over the tops of the cookies, refrigerate to set. Enjoy!!

Blasting Off

Is it already the end of September?? How has an entire month gone by already? At this rate we will be celebrating Christmas in about a week! No I am not trying to rush the season, but man has this month flown by! I guess that is just what happens when you are having fun and being one of the September Guest Designers here was definitely fun!!

So since I will be blasting out of here with this post, I thought it only fitting to break out the adorable rocket from the Little Boy Toys set.

I used the latest Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #75 (have you checked it out...cuz' if you haven't you definitely should!!). My rocket is obviously blasting out into space with a starry sky (maybe space) background. I think that this card can still be for a boy even with the sparkly ribbon and rhinestones....right?!

Well thanks for hanging out with me during the Tuesdays of September and thank you to Kim and Korin for giving me the opportunity to play! I had a "blast" (pun totally intended)!

God Bless,

Autumn is here!

I am so happy for the cooler weather, the delicious foods, and the gorgeous colors that autumn brings. I am very blessed to live in a state where we experience all 4 seasons which I think helps me to appreciate them even more :). God in his infinite wisdom knew exactly how to bring about change at the right time and place. I am in constant awe of his amazing creation!

I just had to share a card today to celebrate this beautiful season :). I used one of our newer digital stamps, Pumpkin Patch, with a sentiment from our clear set Prayerful Thoughts.

Enjoy your day and may it be blessed beyond measure!
