Thankful for You!

Can you believe it's November already? Every time I look at the calendar, I'm startled anew! Just a few weeks ago I was longing for autumn, and now here we are -- smack dab in the middle of it!

Autumn is such a rich season, don't you think? Everywhere we look is evidence of God's bounty at its most vivid. It is little wonder that the Pilgrims chose this time of year to celebrate the first Thanksgiving. How can we not be grateful at this time of year for all the many blessings He grants us when they are so startlingly apparent everywhere we look?

My card today celebrates both the richness of this season as well as some of the greatest blessings in my own life -- friends and family. I feel so blessed every day to have the friends and family that I do, and I love that this season of thanksgiving gives me an excuse to reach out to them and tell them how grateful I am. To make this card, I used the Thankful for You digi set. This set includes both of the Pilgrim people shown here as well as four special sentiments -- everything you need to make "thankful for you" cards for your own loved ones!

I thank you for stopping by today, and hope that you will stop in again tomorrow. Tomorrow -- Thursday -- is Digi Day at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, and we'll have some very fun things to share with you that you won't want to miss! Happy digi stamping!!

Hugs,
Deedee

Can't get enough of that Sweet Cocoa!!

Happy Monday, Everyone! Did you have an enjoyable Halloween?? Mine was more than exciting with a transformer here and a wonder-woman there... BUT, I am SO GLAD it is November! That means pumpkin pie is just around the corner, seeing family, too; but it also means that I am blessed to be the NOVEMBER GUEST DESIGNER for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' new DIGI BLOG!

Sweet 'n Sassy's Stamps Digi Blog is brand spankin' new, so I was asked to post a few items until they get their full Design Team together over the next month or so. I was more than happy to oblige! Working with Korin and Sandy is supah fun and I get to work with a fabulous bunch of artists, too. Oh, and if you are thinking that you have seen me before, it might be because I also am on the design team for the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps sketch blog called The SWEET STOP !

About my card... isn't this little Sweet Cocoa Mouse just the cutest?? There are also Three Sentiments HERE that coordinate with this image, too, so be sure to check those out in the store, too! The paper is some retired paper by SUP and the ribbon is by Hobby Lobby. Coloring is by Copic markers and the circle scallop punch is double layered with red in back. Punch is by SUP as well.

Be sure to check back here on the blog every day so you don't miss anything new! Also, remember that Thursday is FREEBIE THURSDAY where Korin lavishes us with a freebie digi for our craftin' pleasure!

Edited to add: CLICK HERE to see Sweet 'n Sassy's PaperCraftPlanet group!  You can play along with this weeks challenge of using snowflakes in your card or other paper-creation!  Hope to see you there!

Here's to a great week!

Digi Guest Designer for November!

We have the super sweet, fun and talented Nicole Anderson with us this month as our first Guest Designer! She has a lot in store for you and you won't want
to miss seeing what she has in store!

HELLO! My name is Nicole Anderson (Mrs Nickel on SCS). I got started working with Korin and the team as a September Guest Designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I also am blessed to work for their sketch blog, The Sweet Stop, and am NOW the November Guest Designer for their Digi BLOG! WOW, they sure do know how to keep a girl busy! LOL! Thanks to Korin and Sandy again, I really enjoy working with SNSS!!

I am a Christian, re-married, mom-of-four (19, 7, 6 and 4). Ranging from college to pre-school, they are what keep me so young and busy!

While growing up I always found interest in arts and crafts. I enjoyed cross-stitch, needlepoint, drawing, painting, sewing and now crochet! Still can’t knit yet, though! Prior to re-marrying, I worked in the building industry designing custom kitchens, baths and furniture for a local cabinet manufacturer, here in Indiana. After leaving that career to stay home to the three new babies, I needed an outlet for my creativity and sanity, too! One of my dear friends introduced me to scrapbooking, and soon thereafter I found card-making, and there was no going back! I still like to dabble in scrapbooking, but probably need to practice some more!

Although my first craft-passion is ‘paper’, I do love all things ‘blingy’! So, I turned that interest towards handmade jewelry and gifts and came up with my own Artisan line! These two art interests keep me busy and continuously-inspired. When I lose the ‘mojo’ for one art form, I turn to the other to keep those creative-juices flowing!

MANY THANKS to Korin for giving me this wonderful opportunity to share my love of art and crafts and MOST importantly, JESUS, with you! I love creating handmade cards and gifts using Christian-inspired stamps and digital images by Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps!

Thankful For You!

I have to admit that Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the colors, hearing the leaves in the wind, watching them fall and the cool crisp nights. There's something about Pilgrim people that just seem so calming too! Our digi, Thankful For You, is one of my favorites that I have used a lot already in making Thanksgiving cards. It's even on sale right now...what could be better?

Be sure to stop by the Sweet 'n Sassy store! We have several sets that are being discontinued on sale right now for 7o% off! Whoo Hoo what a deal!!!! The link for the discontinued sets is -----> HERE!

Here's another Sweet Cocoa card made by one of the
SNS Design Team members, Nancy Brown!

It's Digi Day!!

We've released this adorable new image today with 3 separate coordinating sentiments. The sets are called Sweet Cocoa & Hot Cocoa Sentiments.

Cocoa the mouse is a brand new digi character whom you will be seeing more of in the future. Isn't he just the sweetest little mouse? Now I can tell you if I saw a real mouse peeking his head out of my cup of cocoa, I sure wouldn't think it was sweet, in fact there would be screams heard for miles, but there is something about this little guy that just makes my heart melt :).

Don't forget to snatch up today's free digi! It's a "sweet treat" as well :)!

Happy downloading!
